Freethought Lebanon organized a seminar entitled “Sexuality & Religion” on the 5th of August, 2016. The seminar invited prominent speakers Tommi Paalanen (Finland) and Faysal El Kaak (Lebanon) to address the topic of sexual ethics and rights in modern times. Freethought Lebanon represented Lebanon in the Rationalist International Conference 2016, which took place in Tallinn, Estonia on April 23-24, 2016. Our talk, entitled “Freethought in Lebanon”, was given by Mario Ramadan.

Lebanon’s Grand Mufti has issued on Monday the 28th of January a fatwa whose sole aim is to decapitate one of the many marginalized rights the Lebanese citizens are missing.
