Freethought Lebanon at the International Conference on Freedom of Conscience and Expression:
“Freethinkers stand for the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of expression and belief and freedom from fear and want. We believe in the universality and indivisibility of human rights. These rights flow from human reason and conscience. Without the free exercise of conscience and expression, all other rights are nullified.” – Maryam Namazie
On July 22-24, 2017, Freethought Lebanon were honored to take part in the International Conference on Freedom of Conscience and Expression, the largest gathering of ex-Muslims in history.
Represented by Mazen Abou Hamdan, we shared the discussion panel on ‘Blasphemy, Islamophobia, and Freedom of Thought and Expression.’
